Build a unique web app for Unique Network

THEMES

Challenge : Build a fee-less conference attendance POAP mobile-friendly web app that uses NFTs using the Unique Network SDK (Javascript/REST) — an IBC attendance wallet. To record a user's attendance create a structure of nested NFTs with NFTs that correspond to the structure of attendance, One NFT per event (Hackathon, Startup Pitch Competition, DeFi/Trading, Conference, Edu & Cert) and nest POAPs (NFT or RFT) per sub-event (Hackathon, Lecture, Competition, etc) by using the web app as a POA signer (read hidden QR code on-site via camera). On-site QR code reading should be restricted to location and time window of event. Reading the QR code should either create the NFT and nest the POAP or add a POAP under the appropriate existing NFT. App should display the attendance NFT tree at at a glance.

Participation Guidelines

Team Formation:
The participants are free to form their own teams with minimum two members and maximum 5 members in each team.

Submission of more than one problem statement:
Hackathons are open knowledge events and the organizers cannot take any responsibility of protecting the idea, codebase or any other information shared during the course of this hackathon or later.

Notifications:
Hackathons are open knowledge events and the organizers cannot take any responsibility of protecting the idea, codebase or any other information shared during the course of this hackathon or later.

Stages:
The stages of participation, resubmission , shortlisting and selection shall be the prerogative of the organizers and may be changed based on requirements.

Support:
The organizers shall try and support with some reference material, workshops etc. However, the organizers are under no obligation to do any kind of hand-holding or tutoring. This is a competition and the participants are expected to be prepared in the required skill set.

Incentives:
The organizers and sponsors reserve the right to cancel incentives if they are not satisfied with the quality of submissions

Intellectual Property:
Hackathons are open knowledge events and the organizers cannot take any responsibility of protecting the idea, codebase or any other information shared during the course of this hackathon or later.

Decision of Jury:
The decision of Jury in shortlisting/selection is final and irrevocable and cannot be challenged whatsoever.

Timelines:
The timelines of the hackathon, the stages may change based on several internal and external factors.

Shortlisting and Selection Criteria:
The shortlisting and selection criteria from one stage to next and final stage shall be notified as and when required. The criteria may change based on relative competition, number of submissions, discretion of mentors and jury.

Tech Stack:
The details of tech stack, programming language and other technical details shall ne followed as per guidelines notified with the specific hackathon track and problem statement. If no specific guidelines are given, it shall be deemed open choice by participants.

Dynamic changes:
In the course of this hackathon, the sponsors, mentors, partners, jury, incentives, shortlisting criteria, timelines and other things may change due to unforeseen circumstances. The organizers are under no obligation to inform or explain the same to participants.

FAQ

A- The IBC HackFest starts on 22nd November and ends on 29th November. The Hack Fest will be held in Tech Mahindra from 22nd Nov to 28th Nov and in T-Hub on 29th Nov.

A- Yes, it is mandatory to be present on all the days. It is a Skillathon (Education bootcamp & Hackathon), where you will be actively participating in our bootcamp which includes orientation on key topics, training, ideation-brainstorming and speed building sessions with professional industry experts.

A- Students who are participating on-ground should carry their own laptops. Also, please bring your own meal boxes.

A- Yes

A- You will receive the participation certificate on the last day of HackFest, which is 29th November.

A- Students only who made it to the list of top 300 are eligible to participate offline i.e. in the premises of Tech Mahindra (Hyderabad) & T-hub. Other registered students can attend via Youtube livecast. .

A- The IBC HackFest aims towards introducing students to the emerging technologies like blockchain and Web3. This is your opportunity to learn, Network, participate in Hackathons, upskill with the IBC Education & Certification program designed specially for students and get recruited by top blockchain & Web 3 companies.

A- There is no education or skill prerequisite. If you are an engineering student with knowledge of Web 2.0 or even a newbie in the space you can attend the IBC HackFest as you will be taken through the education step by step - right from orientation of blockchain and Web 3.0 concepts to hands-on experience of building with topline mentors to guide you all the way.

A- Yes, you can ask your friends to join the Hackfest online by registering and attending the sessions via Youtube livecast.

A- Students who are willing to participate, should facilitate their own transportation, accommodation and food.

A- IBC Media has created a discord server for the students to access all the resources relating to the sessions. Also, the students can ask questions while attending the sessions which will be answered by experts from the IBC team.

A- Yes, it is mandatory to carry your college ID to the venue for verification purposes.
